Stone Head House Farm House Kitchen
We provide a choice of breakfast to suit all tastes and dietary requirements all cooked with the help of our AGA, the hub of the 'Farm House Kitchen'. --- We make our own much loved Black Pudding (please request) --- Sausages to our own receipe using British Pork and natural herbs often from our own greenhouse. This has taken Graham a long time to perfect with no artificial additives or preservatives of any kind. Great expense is incurred by using prime organic fillet breast of chicken to create a soft texture and to make our sausage a luxury rather than a cheap accompaniment. Response has been fantastic. --- We cure our own bacon and Hams from British Pork (we strongly oppose the European use of sow stalls). --- Home made jam and marmalade to go with the bread which we bake. --- Milk is direct from the parlour used by the cows from our land which has not been subjected to chemicals since we bought it 11 years ago. From this milk we make our own butter (please state if an alternative is prefered) --- Eggs are free range and organic from our own hens although we do not hold 'official' organic status due to the high cost.

All of the above choices are served in the Inglenook Room or why not have breakfast in bed
As much as we would like to provide you with a newspaper of your choice there isn't a local supplier in Cowling or Lothersdale. Also because the nearest Newsagents is in Colne in Lancashire or Crosshills in North Yorkshire we do provide wireless internet for anyone with mobile devices.

The Big PrintLatest Check-in 8pm, House Door Key Given On Arrival, No Smoking Inside , No Under 21 year old's, No Televisions. A contact number is required with all bookings preferably mobile. Verbal contact before arrival would be appreciated as people have been known to pull into our neighbours driveways, especially relying on 'Sat Nav', as ours also gets it wrong along with 'Google Maps' except for the version on our Contact and Finding Us page. Neither the lane or the House have a sign as we try to blend in with the surroundings and not look to much like a business for the benefit of other people with properties in the valley. This establishment is for people who respect our hospitality, surroundings, quality breakfast of 'local if not home produce' and the value of a relaxing early night. |
